for Suprasync App

Introduction

Welcome to Suprasync. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Suprasync app (the “App”), which allows users to maintain a single source of truth and reuse variable data across multiple Confluence pages. The App is built on the Atlassian Forge platform and hosted on Atlassian’s servers.

By installing or using the App, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Use of the App

1. License

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the App for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms and Atlassian’s terms and policies. The App is provided to you for use within your Confluence instance and is subject to the limitations set by Atlassian’s Forge platform.

2. Integration with Confluence

The App is designed to function within Atlassian Confluence. Use of the App is subject to your compliance with Atlassian’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You are responsible for maintaining an active Confluence account and complying with Atlassian’s guidelines.

3. Modifications and Updates

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the App at any time, without prior notice. While we aim to provide the best possible experience, updates may be necessary to enhance functionality, security, or compatibility with Confluence.

User Responsibilities

1. Compliance

By using the App, you agree to:

  • Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Atlassian’s terms.

  • Not use the App for any illegal, harmful, or unauthorized purposes.

  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or interfere with the operation of the App.

2. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Confluence account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. We are not liable for any unauthorized access to your account resulting from your failure to safeguard your credentials.

Data and Privacy

1. User Data

The App allows you to create and manage variables across multiple Confluence pages. All variable data and content processed through the App are stored within your Confluence environment. We do not access, store, or manage this data outside of Confluence, except as necessary for troubleshooting or support purposes, and with your consent.

2. Privacy Policy

Your use of the App is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. Since the App is hosted on Atlassian’s Forge platform, all data storage and handling comply with Atlassian’s Privacy Policy and data management practices.

Intellectual Property

1. App Ownership

All rights, title, and interest in and to the App, including all software, features, and intellectual property, remain the exclusive property of Suprasync and its licensors. You are granted no ownership or intellectual property rights in the App, other than the limited license to use the App as described in these Terms.

2. Trademarks

All trademarks, logos, and service marks displayed in the App are the property of their respective owners. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right or license to use any trademark without the prior written consent of the owner.

Termination

1. Termination by You

You may stop using the App at any time by disabling it in your Confluence instance. Uninstalling the App will stop any further use, but you are responsible for managing and backing up any data stored within your Confluence account.

2. Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, if we believe that:

  • You have violated these Terms.

  • Your use of the App poses a security risk to the App or Confluence environment.

  • We are required to do so by law or at Atlassian’s request.

Upon termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms will cease immediately.

Limitation of Liability

Since the App operates on Atlassian’s Forge platform, its availability and functionality may be affected by changes or outages within Atlassian’s infrastructure. We are not responsible for downtime, service disruptions, or modifications introduced by Atlassian that impact the App’s operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall Suprasync, its developers, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including, but not limited to, loss of data, revenue, or profits, resulting from the use or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

The App is provided "as is," and we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding its functionality, compatibility, or reliability within Confluence. Your sole remedy in case of dissatisfaction is to discontinue use of the App.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Suprasync and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or any infringement of third-party rights.

Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page. Your continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically for any updates.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal proceedings related to these Terms or the App must be brought in the courts located in Helsinki, Finland.
